“When I put on my first set of Kalium Strings, I could tell they were different. When I first heard them on my bass, I KNEW they were different! I have been working for years to find “my sound” and Kalium Strings were the missing link. They clarity, the brightness, the epic harmonics, and the feel under my fingers make them a one-of-a-kind bass string. I am proud to be an endorsed artist for Kalium, because they are all about the quality, innovation, and consistency.” -Jason Everett aka Mister E
Like most of the artists and customers that try Kalium strings, it took just one time to be hooked. The feeling that you get when you change your strings is one we all love. Now imagine having that feeling month after month until you change them again. Kalium strings stay the freshest the longest and obtain their newness for the whole life of the strings. My favorite sets are the hybrid 102-41. That being for the 4 string, I typically add the 124 B string to my 5 and 7 string basses with a 33 C string and a 20 on the top end. Being perfectly balanced and these are the perfect tension for my particular instruments. When diving into all the gauges it can be a bit overwhelming for the first time buyer but with Kalium’s expert customer service and brand new website, they give you all the assistance and tools needed to find the set perfect for you. When playing boutique and other high end instruments you need a string to match, and for me that is Kalium. Give them a try and I promise you will like what you hear.
I use Kalium strings for a multitude of reasons… number one being the combination of feel and tone. I can use the light tension strings I love and still have a super stable foundation from my B string. They have an amazing life span. The sound is warm, clear, and the playability makes them very responsive to a wide variety of techniques.
I remember the first time buying a .174 a few years ago (this was back in the Circle K days!) and I was hooked immediately! Showed up to my doorstep in a very unique “string sleeve” and the signature square stickers. Now i’m using a .200 with the utmost clarity and longevity a string could possibly have.
Playing in such low tunings these days has become somewhat difficult for guitarists already, with bigger string brands cutting off the threshold for normal size ball ends at .80 and having to use bass strings that go dull in a matter of hours; But what about bassists?! .130 for anything lower than A0? Yeah, right!
Kalium provides the best choice for standard and custom gauge strings on the planet, Customer service has always been unmatched, and of course the products are fantastic; never had a bad set from these guys!
I am the bass player of the italian band Chaos Plague, Progressive Death Metal.
My greatest aim is to create a personal style that melts Jazz, Fusion and Death Metal, underlining the expressive potential of bass in this so eclectic music genre.
My main instrument is a SiC Grizzly, named “7 Sins”, a 7 strings fretless bass, tuned in natural F#. This very wide range allow me to explore the infinite shades proper of this wonderful instrument, the electric bass guitar.
I used a lot of different strings on my basses but I never found something like Kalium Strings.
The main feature of these strings which I love, is the natural response to my touch: I have the control of the tone, literally, with my fingers! From the thick and deep Low F# ’till the thin and acute High C, my bass sound is absolutely awesome. Expressiveness is the strong point of Kalium Strings.
Having a balanced tension is a great help to keep the tone coherence, therefore my playing is easier and more comfortable. Even in solo situation highest notes can be managed best.
The hybryd alloy enhance an impressive durability. Right after few days of settin’ in, my set gains a terrific sound that lasts several months without loosin’ its quality or definition.
I really love this strings and I can’t image my own tone without Kalium anymore!
